Moriko Yokoyama was born in Japan and moved to the U.S in 1985. She started ceramics in the early 90's and has been honing her skills ever since. The energy of her creations and her vision has a unique blend of old Japanese historical culture combined with the modern western influences that is becoming well known all over the world.
           Her art pieces are displayed everywhere from beautiful model rooms for interior designers in New York to hip & modern sushi restaurants in Los Angeles. The art that she creates ranges from everyday dishware for the contemporary
home to beautiful hand-
made centerpieces meant
to create a sense of life
in any room its in. Her visual
style is constantly admired
by many as she has evolved
and grown as an artist over
the years. Her ideas and
concepts are classy and
sophisticated with a modern
asian flair. She is currently
working on a series of
ceramic pieces used for
traditional Japanese
tea ceremonies.
